Will You Be One of the 85 for 85?
Dear Brothers,
There are a few reasons why I joined the Ernie Schmidt club. One is to honor the memory of Ernie and all that he did for the house to keep it available for the brothers. I was Treasurer and I seem to remember making those mortgage payments to Ernie to ensure that we still were able to keep the house.
Another reason is that I’ve seen all of the work that has been done at our house over the past few years. There is a dedicated group of alumni, many with applicable backgrounds in the trades, to do the work properly. The work sessions are very well organized with a clear list of tasks to do each weekend. With the help of the actives, a lot of great repairs and upgrades have been made to our house.
With the focus of the Ernie Schmidt fund being to support this work, I know that my monthly contribution is going to improve the safety and comfort of the actives that are living there. It’s also comforting to know that all this work will keep the house in great shape so that it continues to serve the active chapter for many years to come.
Keeping our house in proper condition ensures that it will be there for generations to come. It will always be a place that we are welcome to visit and see all the improvements that have been made in recent years. Contributing to the Ernie Schmidt Club helps to establish a fund that will allow this work to continue.
