85 for 85 Update |
Our 85 for 85 Campaign ends on May 31, which is the 85th anniversary of the day of a little local Catholic fraternity at the Case School of Applied Sciences called Theta Kappa Phi joined a national Catholic fraternity called Phi Kappa. Since our last Paragon, Ed Baldzicki ‘70 made a generous donation to the Ohio Alpha Beta Alumni Association, and Mathew Hausladen ‘18 kicked off 2026 by becoming the newest member of the Ernie Schmidt Club. Thank you, brothers! The collective commitment by Brother Hausladen and the members of the Ernie Schmidt Club is now over $14,000 a year. This means that we already have commitments to receive more total donations in the 2025-2026 fiscal year than we did in the entirety of the 2024-2025 fiscal year. Every dollar of those donations goes to support the undergraduate chapter and to improve the physical structure of 11016 Magnolia. Will your donation be the one that pushes us over $15,000 a year in total commitments? |

Undergraduates Attend Officers Academy |
To start off the new year, four brothers from our chapter attended Phi Kappa Theta’s Officers Academy in Crystal City, Virginia. Casper Artman ‘28, Antonio Maia ‘28, Cameron Markowitz ‘28, and Matias Torres’ 26 joined brothers from across the nation to develop leadership skills, collaborate on best practices, and gain new perspectives to bring back to our chapter. Over the course of the conference, our brothers learned and discussed various fraternal topics such as the fraternity’s purpose, history, ritual, risk management, rush, Associate Member teaching, and other lessons that benefit our chapter immensely. Additionally, the brothers had time for fun exploring Washington DC such as going to the White House, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, museums, and the downtown area. Each brother gained something from this experience, returning with a renewed sense of purpose and a shared vision for the future of our brotherhood. |

We plan to have three work weekends in 2026. Please add these dates to your calendar and plan to join us in Cleveland!
When was the last time you visited 11016 Magnolia? Even if you don’t plan on swinging a hammer or wielding a rake, we would love to have you drop by the house to:
One of our upcoming work weekends would be a great opportunity for you and your classmates to throw an impromptu class reunion. Gather the brothers you would be hanging out with anyway, swing by the house to check things out, and generally make a weekend of it! |
