Congratulations go out to Adam Gousie , Andrew Ziets, and Callum Curtis. As of December 2025, all three of them are now alumni members of the Ohio Alpha Beta Chapter. We hope you all enjoyed your first drink in the Red Room, and we look forward to seeing you at future alumni events. |

We have received multiple donations since our November Paragon. Many thanks go to Neil Paolucci ‘72 for his generous one-time donation to the Ohio Alpha Beta Alumni Assocation. We would also like to thank John Dutton ‘02, who became the 22nd member of the Ernie Schmidt Club. Our 85 for 85 Campaign will continue through the 85th anniversary of our chartering as a Phi Kappa chapter on May 31, 2026. Our goal for the 85 for 85 Campaign is to have 85 brothers who have committed to making a recurring monthly donation to the Ohio Alpha Beta Alumni Association by joining the Ernie Schmidt Club. We are currently just over 25% of the way to our goal. The next brother who joins the Ernie Schmidt Club will push us past $14,000 in committed annual donations. Will you be that brother? |

| Fall Work Weekend Recap: Stewardship, Sweat Equity, and Strong Brotherhood |

This past Work Weekend was a powerful reminder of what makes our fraternity home endure: alumni dedication, undergraduate muscle, and a shared commitment to caring for the house that has meant so much to generations of brothers. Significant progress was made in the basement, particularly in the Wine Cellar bedroom and adjoining bathroom. Long-overdue upgrades are now underway, with new plumbing, improved lighting, added heat, and partial drywall installation already completed. These improvements bring us closer to preserving these spaces for future brothers. One item still to be resolved is the Wine Cellar door, which seems to have gone missing—we’ll track it down or replace it as needed. A major step forward in organization and accountability was the creation of a tool crib, providing a secure location for tools loaned by alumni and those purchased for house use. This will help ensure tools are well cared for and ready for the next workday. |

One of the most visible accomplishments was a substantial cleanout effort. Nearly 25 cubic yards of accumulated debris, along with two outdated window air conditioners, were properly disposed of—making a noticeable difference in both safety and appearance. Throughout the house and grounds, teams addressed a wide range of maintenance needs. All window wells were cleared and drains tested, several deck boards were replaced, lighting fixtures and bulbs were updated, dimmers and switches were repaired or replaced, and new shower rods and curtains were installed. Even the leaves didn’t escape our attention. In the East Wing bathroom, fixtures were recaulked, significantly slowing a long-standing leak, though additional work remains. Gutter cleaning and hydro jetting the large party-room window well drain are next on the list. The weekend was a success not just because of what was accomplished, but because of who accomplished it—alumni passing on knowledge and undergraduates carrying the work forward. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and effort. This is how we preserve our house, our history, and our brotherhood. In addition to every single member of the undergraduate chapter, the following alumni brothers attended at least one day of the Fall Work Weekend on November 15 and 16. |
